The village of Gorica e Vogël (Dolna Gorica) is almost the last settlement along the Albanian shore of Prespa Lake before the North Macedonian border. It is the epitome of tranquillity. From here you can take many hikes through the scenic landscape.
The village feels like the end of the world, but you still can find here decent accommodations and restaurants. Boat cruises are also being offered. In summer, the Prespa National Park Information Centre is open in the village.
South of the village, right next to SH79, you can see the so-called Cavity of Zaver (Zgavra e Zaverit), a place where water from Prespa Lake is drained into underneath caves that are connected with Ohrid Lake. It is said that during WWII Italian soldiers poured several barrels of paint into the cavity and after a day or two the paint appeared at the springs in St. Naum on the Ohrid Lake.

A great hiking destination is the Church of St. Demetrius (Kisha e Shën Dhimitrit), located high on a cliff at the very border with Northern Macedonia. A marked path leads to it along the lakeshore, but you can also get there by boat. You can download the route here.
